Star Wars- Episode VIII Scenes to be Shot in Mexico and Two More Returning The Force Awakens Characters Confirmed

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that a number of exterior scenes for Star Wars Episode VIII will be shot in Mexico.

Scenes for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story have already been filmed in the same country.

Kennedy also revealed two more returning cast members for Episode VIII (following her reveal that Gwendoline Christie’s Captain Phasma would be returning). This is your SPOILER alert warning if you don’t want to know who else is returning.

Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and John Boyega (Finn) are also returning for Episode VIII.

Star Wars Episode VIII is scheduled for release on May 26^th, 2017.
