Marvel’s Agent Carter series is rumoured to have been renewed for a third season.

A report from Nerd Reactor says the following:

“A source within the studio has revealed to us that ABC has decided to stick with the show and will be renewing Agent Carter for season three.”

While reviews were strong for the second season of Agent Carter, the season was dogged with low ratings. Its season finale only managed to bring in 2.5 million viewers (only 0.7 million of which were adults aged 18-49). This was a substantial drop from the first season’s finale- which had a total of 4.2 million viewers (1.3 million of which were adults aged 18-49).

Agent Carter has gradually been losing viewers ever since the show started. Here’s a round-up of the views for each episode: 6.9M (Season 1 premiere), 5.1M, 4.6M, 4.2M, 4.25M, 4.15M, 4.02M (Season 1 finale), 3.18M (Season 2 premiere), 2.9M, 2.77M, 2.66M, 2.39M, 2.5M, and 2.35M (Season 2 finale).

Thoughts on this rumour? Are you hopeful that Marvel’s Agent Carter series will be renewed for a third season?
