Michael Keaton (Batman, Batman Returns, Spotlight, Birdman) is no longer in talks for a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Keaton had been in talks with Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios to play the role of a villain in the movie. However, he was reportedly only ever in early talks and negotiations reportedly didn’t go past the initial offer.
The search for the actor to play this villain role (rumoured to be The Vulture) is on-going.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled for release on July 7th, 2017. Principal photography will reportedly begin in June.
