“Join host Ruari in this guest interview with actor Stuart Zagnit, best known as the original voice of Professor Oak and the voices of Cedric Juniper and Koga in Pokémon, Dr. Hidezaburo Kitaguchi and Admiral Yutta Do Lonawer in The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Zolf in Slayers, Mike in Winx Club, Dekunobo in Twin Angels and Dr. Dome in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In the interview they talk about how Stuart got into acting, how Stuart was originally cast as Professor Oak in Pokémon, whether Stuart had any idea when he was cast that Pokémon would end up becoming one of the most popular anime’s in the world, Stuart’s experience bringing Professor Oak to life on Pokémon, whether Stuart was given a lot of freedom when it came to voicing the character or whether the crew were particular about how they wanted him to be portrayed, how Stuart found out that he and the rest of the original cast members on Pokémon were going to be replaced, Stuart’s return to Pokémon to voice Cedric Juniper in a few episodes of the Best Wishes series, the biggest challenges Stuart faced while working on Pokémon, the highlight of voicing Professor Oak on Pokémon for Stuart, the role that Stuart has found the most challenging in his career so far and Stuart’s upcoming acting roles and other projects.”
