Report- Stephen Rider Cast as Blake Tower in Daredevil Season 2

Another Marvel TV casting has reportedly been revealed. Stephen Rider, best-known for playing Admiral Rochon in The Butler, CIA Analyst in Safe House and G-Dog in Shameless, has reportedly been cast as Blake Tower for the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil series.

A description of the character accompanied this report:

“Like in the comics, Tower will be a New York City District Attorney in New York City who helps provide information to the nearly-blind superhero Daredevil (Matt Murdock) so that he can apprehend criminals.”

The second season of Daredevil will be released on Netflix in 2016.

Arrow- The First Look at Diggle’s Costume Revealed

John Diggle is about to go where no Diggle has gone before (that sort of sounded funny). The character will finally suit up alongside Oliver Queen in the fourth season of Arrow.

The first look at Diggle’s costume shows that he will be wearing a helmet as part of his new look.

I don’t know if I’m the only one, but it reminds me a lot of Magneto’s helmet…

We will officially see Diggle’s new look in the fourth season premier on October 7th.

Confirmed- Mahershala Ali Cast as Cornell Cottonmouth in Luke Cage

Actor Mahershala Ali has been cast as Marvel Comics villain Cornell Cottonmouth in Netflix’s upcoming Luke series.

Ali, best-known for his roles as Boggs in The Hunger Games films, Remy Danton in House of Cards and Mombasa in Predators, has been cast as the character who had recently been rumoured for an appearance on the series.

A description of the character we will see in Luke Cage reads as follows:

“Ali’s version of Cottonmouth will be Cornell Stokes, a nightclub owner in Harlem who uses his club for some… less-than-legal purposes.”

Luke Cage recently began shooting in the last couple of weeks in New York.

Rumour- New Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens Wallpaper Revealed

A new Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens wallpaper is rumoured to have been revealed.

The wallpaper focuses on the First Order, with villains Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma and General Hux featured in the foreground. The army of the First Order is similar to what was recently seen in a teaser for The Force Awakens released in Korea.

The words in the logo translate to “The Awakening Of The Force”.

The wallpaper looks official but keep looking at it with a large grain of salt until confirmed by either Lucasfilm or Disney.

Following many months of rumours, followed by leaked images, Lego have finally officially revealed their first batch of sets from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. The official reveal from Lego comes with the sets now being available in stores.

First Look- Agent Carter Season 2 Begins Production

The second season of Marvel’s Agent Carter series has officially begun production, Marvel Television has confirmed.

With their confirmation they have released the first image from the set, which reveals that Agent Daniel Sousa (played by Enver Gjokaj) has been promoted to chief in between seasons.

The second season of Agent Carter takes place in Los Angeles so it’s possible that Sousa’s SSR branch will be outside New York as well.

Agent Carter Season 2 will air during the mid-season break of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Season 3, which will be in early 2016.

James Bond- New Spectre Poster Released

A new poster for this year’s James Bond film Spectre has been released by EON Productions.

The poster features Daniel Craig as the title character wearing a cream white suit.

“In Spectre, a cryptic message from his past sends James Bond on a quest to uncover a sinister organization while M battles political forces that want to shut down the British secret service.”

Spectre will officially be released on November 6th.

Rumour- New Justice League Animated Series in the Works

A new image has hinted that Warner Bros. Animation could be working on a new animated Justice League series.

The image shows a wall (possibly of either Warner Bros. Animation or Cartoon Network’s offices) and features a poster saying “JLA” on the far right of the image. The poster is alongside other animated shows posters, including Be Cool Scooby Doo and Wabbit (both of which begin airing before the end of the year).

We can guess that the following characters are on the poster: Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Firestorm, another male figure that is probably a Green Lantern or Flash, an unidentifiable female, another female, a Hawk like-person down at the bottom and five unidentifiable characters. Safe to say it’s a pretty big line-up.

Confirmed- The Incredible Hulk Cut From Captain America: Civil War

Many rumours have been surrounding The Incredible Hulk since Avengers: Age of Ultron was released, and lots of hints and teases led people to believe that the character would be appearing in next year’s superhero fest Captain America: Civil War.

However, actor Mark Ruffalo (who brings The Incredible Hulk and his human counterpart Bruce Banner to life) has confirmed that the character was removed from the Civil War script.

Ruffalo is quoted as saying the following:

“The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie. I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don’t want to reveal where he is and why. I don’t even know if Hulk will be back soon.”

Rumour- Details on Ezra Miller’s The Flash

Many DC fans were wary when actor Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, We Need to Talk About Kevin) was cast as The Flash for the DC Cinematic Universe, but perhaps new rumoured details may ease their worries.

The rumoured details include:

  • The Flash will appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
  • Barry Allen’s hair will be long in Batman v Superman.
  • His Flash costume will have a post-apocalyptic look to it.
  • Ezra Miller will have a ripped physique and not bulky.
