Simon Kinberg Believes X-Men Apocalypse is Bigger than Last Two X-Men Films

EGP Website Article Image 336

Simon Kinberg has been involved in the X-Men films since X-Men: The Last Stand, but it’s the recent X-Men films that were more successful for him- X-Men: First Class and last year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. However, Kinberg believes next year’s film X-Men: Apocalypse will be even bigger then the most recent than the two recent additions to the series.

Kinberg said the following on next year’s film:

“It’s a bigger movie in both physical scale and I would say emotional stakes too because it is the culmination of this mini trilogy of stories.” While using the word culmination, Kinberg also confirms that X-Men: Apocalypse ends the story that begun in X-Men: First Class, though both cast members James McAvoy (Charles Xavier) and Michael Fassbender (Erik Lehnsherr) are signed on for X-Men films beyond Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse will officially be released on May 27th, 2016.

Colin Trevorrow Hints at Jurassic World Sequel’s Plot

EGP Website Article Image 335

After the tremendous success of Jurassic World this year, fans have been wanting details on the sequel which has already been announced for release on June 22nd, 2018. Colin Trevorrow, who will only be writing and not directing, has provided the first hints on the sequel.

Trevorrow said the following on the sequel to the Jurassic Cast Podcast:

“I looked at it as a trilogy from the beginning, we designed the whole thing that way. The second one, Jurassic World 2, and as we were driving we tried to find, what is the foundation? ‘Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution have been thrown back into the mix together. How can we know what to expect?’ That’s why it’s exciting that the movie did well, that leaves us a lot of room to run, and it was part of this design, it had a beginning, middle, and end when we wrote the first movie. Now that the movie did well, we get to play that out. It will get to be a different kind of film.”

Jurassic World’s sequel will officially be released on June 22nd, 2018.

EGP Website Article Image 332

A new featurette for the second season of Star Wars: Rebels has been released.

The featurette is titled “Return of the Clones” and focuses on the upcoming appearance of Clone Troopers Rex, Wolffe and Gregor.

You can watch the featurette at the link below:

Featurette

A description of the featurette reads:

“Clone troopers were first introduced in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones as highly-skilled combatants that followed any order without questioning its morality. But that has slowly changed over the years, most notably with the character of Captain Rex in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Now everyone’s favorite clone is set to make his debut in Star Wars Rebels, and alongside him are two more Republic veterans who also don’t exactly see eye-to-eye with the Empire.

Dave Filoni, executive producer of Star Wars Rebels, talks at length about the grizzled soldiers that Ahsoka Tano sent the Ghost crew to look for and who will eventually come into conflict with Kanan — the fugitive Jedi who watched so many of his friends die at the hands of clone troopers during Order 66.

Veteran Star Wars actor Dee Bradley Baker discusses the challenge of playing three different characters with conflicting personalities, and what he brought to each voice to make them stand out as individuals.”

A new report has indicated that actor Ernie Hudson will be making a cameo in the Ghostbusters reboot, meaning all of the surviving main cast members from the original films (Harold Ramis having sadly passed away last year) will feature in cameos in the reboot. Previous reports had already confirmed appearances from Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.
