X-Men: Apocalypse will conclude the trilogy of films started with X-Men: First Class back in 2011, and now a new synopsis for the final film in this trilogy has been released.
The new synopsis reads as follows:
“Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, opening in theaters everywhere May 27, 2016. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for release on May 27th, 2016.

We’ve been treated to a number of teaser trailers for Marvel’s Jessica Jones from Netflix recently, but the latest teaser trailer to be released online is bound to get fans excited the most.
The teaser features the first lines from David Tennant, who plays Killgrave/Purple Man in the show.

Arrow fans have been clamouring for details on Lexi Alexander’s (Punisher War Zone, Green Street) for a while now, without learning much on the episode. However, now the synopsis of the episode has been released online giving details on the plot of the episode.
The synopsis of the episode reads as follows:
“Laurel (Katie Cassidy) must deal with the repercussions of taking Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) to Nanda Parbat. Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) asks Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) for a favor and while he’s not surprised at the response, he is surprised at what he finds out next.”
This episode will be the fourth episode of Arrow’s fourth season.

The fourth episode in the second season of The CW’s The Flash series will introduce a new Firestorm, according to the episode’s synopsis.
The Firestorm in question is Jay Jackson from the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow series (who will be played by Franz Drameh).
The synopsis reads as follows:
“Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team look for another Firestorm match for Dr. Stein (Victor Garber). When the team meets Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (guest star Franz Drameh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) has her reservations about whether Jax is the right match for Dr. Stein. Iris (Candice Patton) surprises Joe (Jesse L. Martin) while Barry and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) grow closer.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is one of the most eagerly anticipated films in 2016, and now a new photo from the film has been released online.
The photo features Batman near the Batmobile and comes from the Instagram profile of Clay Enos, who worked on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as the still photographer. He had previously contributed to Man of Steel.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release on March 25th, 2016.

New York Comic Con is currently taking place, and as part of today’s events a Star Wars: Rebels panel was held. The panel included a new trailer for the second season of the animated series.

Hasbro have revealed a Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Han Solo figure from The Black Series 6-inch line. No details on which wave the figure will be included in have been revealed, but it’s bound to be a popular figure when it’s released.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will be released on November 20th.
Stephen J. Davis, President of Hasbro Studios and Entertainment, confirmed that four more movies’ worth of material has been penned in the Transformers writing room. This was revealed at the MIP Junior Conference 2015.
During a Q&A session at the Conference, he told the audience that they had just finished what he called “an incredible experience” where the future of the franchise was plotted out with “some of the most creative writers [Davis] has ever worked with.”

These writers included Daredevil’s Steve DeKnight, The Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman, Black Hawk Down’s Ken Nolan, X-Men: The Last Stand’s Zak Penn, The Amazing Spiderman 2’s Jeff Pinkner, Unforgettable’s Christina Hodson, Hibernation’s Geneva Robertson-Dworet, How To Nail An Alien’s Lindsey Beer and Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Hollloway.
Transformers 5 will see Michael Bay return to direct, with Mark Wahlberg reprising his Age of Extinction role as Cade Yeager and a script by Akiva Goldsman.
As for Transformers 6, 7 and 8? Well, fans will be waiting patiently for more news, but this much we know; the next four films in the Transformers franchise are confirmed and are on their way.
