A new rumour has suggested that that Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2 are set to have a production budget of around one billion dollars.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron budget was approximately $208 million, so it would seem that Infinity War Part 1 and 2 would be considerably more. However, once actors, actresses, directors and producers have had there cut, the budget is already $400 million down. According to BC Reports, Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) will receive half of that amount.
Although, another rumour indicates that the script and plot for the first part isn’t finished yet so the actual budget could be very different.
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 is set to arrive in cinemas May 4th, 2018 and Part 2 is set to appear May 3rd, 2019.
A trailer for the BBC Sherlock standalone special was released on Wednesday.
You can watch the trailer below:
The trailer shows the contemporary show return to its Victorian roots, all the while keeping the characterisation of the modern-day Sherlock and Watson (portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman respectively).
Unfortunately for the patient Sherlock fans, the trailer states that this special is only ‘Coming Soon’ with a release date yet to be announced.
Melanie Liburd (The Grinder, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) has been cast as a Red Priestess of R’hllor in HBO’s Game of Thrones, Deadline reports.
The British actress will join the cast in Season 6 as another servant of the God of Light. It should be noted that she is playing a Red Priestess, not the Red Priestess, meaning she is not replacing Carice Van Houten’s recurring character.
The Official Power Rangers Movie Instagram account has confirmed that Naomi Scott has been cast as the Pink Ranger in the upcoming Power Rangers movie.
Naomi is best known for her role of Mohini ‘Mo’ Banjaree in Disney’s Lemonade Mouth, with titles like The Martian and Terra Nova under her belt.
The Pink Ranger, originally portrayed by Amy Jo Johnson, is one of the three roles that were screen tested last week, the others being the Red and Black Rangers.
The film will be directed by Project Almanac’s Dean Israelite and based on a screenplay by Fringe’s Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz.
Power Rangers begins production in January 2016, with a January 2017 release.
Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Son of Anarchy, Pacific Rim) has joined the cast of the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He will reportedly play a goblin in the film (though whether or not we should compare his goblin with the Gringotts Goblins is unclear). The report only states that his character is supposedly a goblin.
However, it could be possible that Perlman does play a goblin. The dwarf Gimli from The Lord of the Rings was played by John Rhys-Davies who is a very tall actor (1.85 m (6 ft 1 in)). During the scenes where Gimli and the hobbits appear together, their respective sizes remain in proportion, whereas in scenes where they have to interact with human-sized characters, tricks of scale had to be employed. It seems you muggles have a gift for tricks…
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is is scheduled to released on November 16, 2016, as the first movie of a trilogy.
Thoughts on this casting? Are you excited to see Ron Perlman’s character in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?
New reports indicate that Warner Bros. are moving ahead with their plans to make a movie based on the Justice League Dark comic book series. The movie is being said to have been retitled Dark Universe, with Scott Rudin producing. The studio plans to begin shooting in 2016.
The movie has been talked about for several years now. Initially, Guillermo del Toro wrote the script and was ready to direct. There were even talks of linking this movie with the cancelled TV series Constantine and going as far as getting Matt Ryan – the actor who portrayed Constantine in the series – to reprise the role in the live-action adaptation of Justice League Dark. However, currently it is being reported that del Toro will only stay on the project as a producer. For those who do not know, Scott Rudin is a man behind many famous Hollywoods movies and TV shows like Captain Phillips, Ex Machina, The Newsroom and The Fantastic Mr. Fox. His involvement with Dark Universe is a good sign.
Justice League Dark was a launch title in the New 52 revamp of DC comic book universe. The team of the same name was originally made up of DC characters John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, Shade, the Changing Man and Zatanna. As shown by the lineup of characters, the team consists and deals with the more supernatural side of the DC universe. Eventually, characters like Swamp Thing and DC’s Frankenstein also joined the roster.

While New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison may be best-known to Star Wars fans for playing Jango Fett in 2002’s Attack of the Clones, he has had also had other contributions to the Star Wars franchise. One of these was the voice of Boba Fett in Star Wars: Battlefront II, a role he’s reported to have reprised in the new Battlefront coming out next month.
The report comes from players who have tested out the new Battlefront beta (launched on October 8th) and did some digging while on the beta, and have discovered audio featuring dialogue from Boba Fett- with a voice that is Morrison’s beyond any doubt. Fett was not playable in the beta.
While it had been confirmed Boba would be in the game, no details on his voice had been revealed until now.
The new Star Wars: Battlefront is scheduled for release on November 17th, and will be playable on Xbox One, PlayStation and PC.
