Fox’s upcoming Gambit film has struggled ever since director Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) had to step down from his directorial duties. Recently, it was said that the films lead Channing Tatum was trying to coax Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) to become the new director, but other possible contenders to take on the position have been revealed.
As well as Liman, Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) and Shane Black (Iron Man 3) are reportedly being looked at.
The Gambit film is scheduled for release on October 7th, 2016.

The first season of The CW’s on-going The Flash series featured several iconic villains from the comics, but one who had several episodes of build-up leading to only one full episode is returning in the shows second season- Grodd.
No details on whereabouts Grodd will appear in Season 2 have been revealed, but he will definitely return in the season that recently began airing.
Grodd’s first appearance in DC Comics was Flash #106 (released in 1959).

While most of the talk this week has been on Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, there is another highly-anticipated film coming out just a few months afterwards- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
To remind fans that the film is on the way, four new images from the film have been released.
The four images are all hi-res, however the three shots from the film itself have shots that are taken directly or very close to similar shots in the trailers. The fourth image is from the set featuring a scene being filmed (and you all know I have an addiction to behind-the-scenes images).
“Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to be released on March 25th, 2016.

A new poster for Marvel’s upcoming Jessica Jones series on Netflix has been released online. The poster was revealed on the official Twitter page for the show.
The post also revealed that the full trailer for the show will be released this Friday.
“Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need… especially if they’re willing to cut her a check.”
The Jessica Jones series premiers on Netflix on November 20th.

DC fans are eagerly anticipating Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the live-action Justice League film (which will be released in two parts). What fans haven’t heard about is the budget for both films, but an interesting new rumour has given an insight into both budgets.
The rumour indicates that the budget set aside for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was $410 million, making it one the most expensive films of all time if true.
However, Justice League combined (taking both parts into consideration) will supposedly only have $500 million to work with, which is surprising considering it will almost definitely be the length of two films.
