The first logo for the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been released online, courtesy of Warner Bros.

“Writer Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) tracks down magical creatures in New York.”

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is scheduled to be released on November 18th, 2016. Next year’s film will be the first of a trilogy.

Rumour- New Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice Synopsis Appears Online

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has already seen one long synopsis revealed, but a new synopsis has made its way online.

The synopsis wasn’t revealed by Warner Bros. so take it with a grain of salt.

You can read the rumoured synopsis below:

“At long last, see Batman and Superman square off against each other in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’, an epic superhero showdown which will change both their lives forever.

New Captain America Civil War Promotional Artwork Surfaces Online

New promotional artwork for Captain America: Civil War has appeared online. The artwork shows Captain America’s and Iron Man’s new designs for Marvel’s superhero showdown next year.

Captain America will finally have scale armour in his costume (a trademark the character has in the comics) and Iron Man wears the Bleeding Edge armour (which features advancements in nanotechnology).

Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6th, 2016.

Report- Hugh Jackman to be Involved in X-Men Apocalypse Re-shoots

X-Men: Apocalypse is already one of the most anticipated superhero films of 2016, but a new report will make fans even more excited for the film.

The report states that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be involved in re-shoots for the film. Re-shoots are already confirmed to be taking place at Montreal in January, where they’ll spend a few weeks shooting. They previously used the location earlier this year for principal photography.

X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled to be released on May 27th, 2016.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones series debuts on Netflix later this month. While not officially announced, the full list of episode titles and synopsis for the first season of the show has reportedly surfaced online.

New Star Trek TV Series to Premier in January 2017

CBS have officially announced that they have a new Star Trek TV series in development. This follows months of rumours that a new Star Trek series was on the way.

The new series will premier in January 2017. The show will begin with a special preview broadcast on the CBS Television Network and will then be live on the CBS All Access digital subscription streaming service.

Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness) and Heather Kadin (Sleepy Hollow, Scorpion) have signed on as the executive producers of the show.

CBS Television Studios President David Stapf is quoted as saying the following:

“There is no better time to give ‘Star Trek’ fans a new series than on the heels of the original show’s 50th anniversary celebration. Everyone here has great respect for this storied franchise, and we’re excited to launch its next television chapter in the creative mind and skilled hands of Alex Kurtzman, someone who knows this world and its audience intimately.”

CBS Digital Media Executive Vice President/General Manager Marc DeBevoise is quoted as saying the following on the show airing on CBS All Access:

“This new series will premiere to the national CBS audience, then boldly go where no first-run ‘Star Trek’ series has gone before – directly to its millions of fans through CBS All Access. We’ve experienced terrific growth for CBS All Access, expanding the service across affiliates and devices in a very short time. We now have an incredible opportunity to accelerate this growth with the iconic ‘Star Trek,’ and its devoted and passionate fan base, as our first original series.”

Confirmed- Tommy Flanagan to Play The Knife on Gotham

Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy, Gladiator, Braveheart, Smokin’ Aces, AVP: Alien vs. Predator) will be playing a new character on Gotham this season, known as The Knife.

The character will make his debut in the tenth episode of Gotham’s on-going second season.

A description of the character can be read below:

“The Knife is one of Gotham’s most dangerous denizens. His charming, stylish shell and good humor mask a remorseless hitman whose skills are at the service of the highest bidder. He will sit with you, laugh with you, and then cut your throat.”

Flanagan had tweeted last month that he was on his way to film for Gotham, but no details had been revealed on his character until now. You can read the tweet below:

Confirmed- Peter Capaldi Returning for Doctor Who Series 10

Ever since Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald) announced that she will be leaving Doctor Who at the end of the current series, rumours have floated around that current Doctor Peter Capaldi would be following suit.

Showrunner Steven Moffat has confirmed the rumours aren’t true. He is quoted as saying the following:

“Peter Capaldi is going nowhere.”

Also, Moffat shot down another rumour that had Doctor Who fans worried (that Doctor Who would be taking a break next year and wouldn’t be around for much longer). He is quoted as saying the following on this matter:

“It is definitely going to last five more years, I’ve seen the business plan. It’s not going anywhere. And I think we can go past that. It’s television’s own legend. It will just keep going.”

Report- Marvel Looking to Cast Michael Stuhlbarg in Doctor Strange

Marvel are reportedly in negotiations to cast Michael Stuhlbarg (Boardwalk Empire, Men in Black 3, Steve Jobs, Hugo) for a role in their Doctor Strange film, due out in late 2016.

No details on the character Stuhlbarg may be playing have been released.

Doctor Strange is scheduled to be released on November 4th, 2016.

Star Wars- “The Battle of Jakku” Battlefront DLC Teaser Released

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will officially introduce the planet Jakku to the Star Wars universe, but a DLC for the new Star Wars: Battlefront will allow fans to experience the planet beforehand. A teaser trailer for the DLC (titled “The Battle of Jakku”) has been released.

You can watch the teaser trailer below:

The DLC will allow players to play out the battle that took place between the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire 29 years prior to the events of The Force Awakens.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be released on November 17th, with “The Battle of Jakku” DLC available to all players on December 1st. However, fans who pre-ordered Battlefront will be able to play the DLC a week early.
