Marvel’s Ant-Man film is released on digital platforms today, with the Blu-ray edition scheduled for release on December 8th. To hold fans over, another deleted scene that will be part of Ant-Man’s bonus features has been released.
The features include commentary from lead actor Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man) and director Peyton Reed. This scene features Darren Cross, Hank Pym and a man with a Ten Rings tattoo.
X-Men producer Simon Kinberg is a busy man working on both the X-Men and Star Wars films, but he’ll be even busier soon with the solo films in the former’s universe, Deadpool and Gambit.
While Deadpool is only a few months away from being released, production on Gambit has been stop-start, but Kinberg has talked about the film recently. He is quoted as saying the following on the feel of the film:
“Gambit will have its own different flavor and tone to it. [it] will be more of like a heist movie and a sexy thriller in a way.”
However, Kinberg has hinted that the film’s release date will be pushed back. While originally scheduled for release on October 7th, 2016, shooting is only going to begin in Spring 2016 and the crew expects to need 5-6 months to finish production, indicating the film will likely be pushed back until sometime in 2017.
Last years Arrow/The Flash crossover was a big occasion featuring Arrow and The Flash appearing on the opposing shows, but a new report suggests that this years crossover will be even bigger.
The report indicates that the crossover will feature no less than nine superheroes. Seven are already confirmed and they are: Arrow, The Flash, Speedy, Black Canary, Diggle, Hawkgirl and Hawkman.
Arrow actor Stephen Amell is quoted as saying the following:
“We shot a scene that had, like, nine superheroes in it. Nine people with either powers or super-suits. It was an amazing thing to look out over the scene and see the world that has been built over the course of three-plus years.”
It’s likely the remaining two are The Atom and White Canary because of how much the crossover will tie into the Legends of Tomorrow series.
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will introduce a large number of new characters to the Star Wars universe, but one character we haven’t heard a lot about is Constable Zuvio.
While we still don’t much about the character, the first official look at Constable Zuvio has been released.
So far, the only information available on Zuvio was included on merchandise of the character. He is described as a “vigilant law officer on a mostly lawless world” who “keeps order in a frontier trading post”, while also supposedly being “tough and humourless”.
No other details are available on the character currently.
Are you looking forward to seeing Constable Zuvio in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens?
Many fans were surprised when Ridley Scott announced that the sequel to his 2012 film Prometheus would be titled Alien: Paradise Lost (tying it even closer to the original Alien film which he directed) because of its inclusion of ‘Alien’ in its title, but now Scott has seemingly revealed a new name for the sequel (while still keeping the Alien in the title).
The new title is reportedly Alien: Covenant.
Scott is quoted as saying the following:
“I was going to be doing what will be called ‘Alien: Covenant,’ which starts shooting next February, and we were struggling then with the screenplay there and then there was a phone call, somebody saying, ‘Listen, we’ve got this thing which is completely written called ‘Martian,’ and I said, ‘Huh.’ And I sped read it in an hour and by mid-afternoon, I talked to Fox and said, ‘I need to talk to ‘Drew [Goddard]…’”
Thoughts on this report? What do you think of the new name?
A new photo from this years’ Arrow/The Flash crossover has been released online.
The photo features Arrow, The Flash, Hawkgirl and Hawkman, with the latter two wearing handcuffs. The photo supposedly comes from the Arrow half of the crossover titled “Legends of Yesterday”.
Thoughts on the new photo? Are you excited for this years’ Arrow/The Flash crossover?
Kylo Ren is going to be the main villain of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, but (in a way that is very similar to Darth Vader and Darth Sidious) it’s believed that he is only the second in command to another new character called Supreme Leader Snoke, who we don’t know a lot about.
However, Snoke’s actor Andy Serkis has teased some new details on the character and if director J.J. Abrams knew what the character was going to look like:
“It’s the first time I’ve been on set not yet knowing what the character’s gonna look like. I mean, talk about secrecy! When we first started working on it, he had some rough notions of how Snoke was gonna look, but it really hadn’t been fully-formed and it almost came out of discussion and performance. “Supreme Leader Snoke is quite an enigmatic character, and strangely vulnerable at the same time as being quite powerful. Obviously he has a huge agenda. He has suffered a lot of damage. As I said, there is a strange vulnerability to him, which belies his true agenda, I suppose.”
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is scheduled to be released in the UK/Ireland on December 17th.

The second season of The Flash has introduced fans to multiple characters from Earth-2 (Jay Garrick, Zoom etc). However, viewers have only had brief glimpses of Earth-2 itself so far but that’s about to change.
Lead actor Grant Gustin revealed the following on The Flash travelling to Earth-2 in the on-going second season of the show:
“It sounds like we’re going to be making an Earth-Two trip in the future at some point this season. I don’t know which characters are going to be going. I’m pretty sure Barry will be one of them. I don’t know if we’re going to see his doppelgänger when we go over there. I’d imagine we would.”
So far The Flash has only shown characters from Earth-2 coming to Earth, so it will be interesting to see characters going the other way.
The Flash may have taken a beating from Zoom recently, but he won’t let that stop him as series star Grant Gustin has revealed a new poster for the show.
The poster includes the tagline: “Speedy Recovery”.
A new deleted scene from Marvel’s Ant-Man film has been released, featuring Scott Lang and Hank Pym.
The scene features commentary from Paul Rudd (Scott Lang) and director Peyton Reed. It will be released on the home video release of the film coming on December 8th.
