Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been out for just over a month now, but crew members are hard at work preparing for the filming of Episode VIII at Pinewood Studios. A new rumour has suggested that a location from The Force Awakens is being recreated for Episode VIII.
Spoilers for The Force Awakens are below so this is your SPOILER alert warning.
………………………….
…………………….
……………
The Skellig Michael sets (the location used for the Rey and Luke Skywalker scene at the end of The Force Awakens) are supposedly being recreated on sound stages and backlots at Pinewood.
The rumour says the following:
“The Skellig Michael sets have been built and in some cases recreated at Pinewood. The location of the set at Pinewood is the same place they filmed the Jakku village scenes for The Force Awakens. Filming at Skellig Michael was just too complicated for environmental reasons. Migrating birds have more power than any corporation over that isle.”
Thoughts on this rumour? Are you hoping to see this location again in Episode VIII?
