Telltale Games have officially announced that a third season of their The Walking Dead series will be arriving later in 2016.
The company plans to move forward with Clementine’s story- despite the numerous endings in the second season of the game.
Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner is quoted as saying the following:
“When we got to Season 2, we had a plan in the back of our minds of how we would make all these endings keep those threads going forward. From a role-playing, interactive storytelling point of view, it is not from the bag of tricks that we’ve ever shown anybody before. The way that we’re dealing with and validating and retaining all those different playthroughs is really cool and unexpected and, I think, pretty innovative from the storytelling point of view. We’ve got a strategy to help Season 3 players. We didn’t have the cloud services in Season 1 that we have now. So we’re going to have a solution for everybody that we’re not talking about it yet.”
More information on the third season of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead will be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con in July. The third season will premiere later in 2016.
Thoughts on this announcement? Are you excited for a third season of The Walking Dead Telltale Game?
The finale episode in the sixth season of AMC’s The Walking Dead will officially be 90 minutes long.
The finale episode is the third in the sixth season to have this extension. The other episodes were the season premiere episode “First Time Again” and the Morgan-focused episode “Here’s Not Here”. The Season 5 finale “Conquer” also had the extension.
It’s speculated that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will debut as Negan in the sixth season finale.
