While creator Robert Kirkman has been adamant about The Walking Dead not revealing the cause of the zombie apocalypse, it was hoped that companion series Fear The Walking Dead would reveal the cause when it was originally announced. It didn’t in its first season and a new report indicates that the second season won’t either.
Executive producer Greg Nicotero is quoted as saying the following to confirm this report:
“We’ve never really wanted to go there. I know on ‘The Walking Dead’ we made a conscious decision to not open that can of worms. I think it’s safe to say that ‘Fear’ follows the same rule – it’s really not about how it’s happening. It’s about how you survive it. That ship has sailed.”
Thoughts on this report? Are you hoping that Fear The Walking Dead will reveal the cause of the zombie apocalypse eventually?

Fox has officially renewed Bones for a twelfth season, which will also be the final season of the long-running series.
The final season will have twelve episodes in total. This will allow the producers to map out a “meaningful and satisfying conclusion” according to according to Fox Co-Chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman.
Executive producers and showrunners Jonathan Collier and Michael Peterson are quoted as saying the following in a joint statement:
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have another season, so we can give the show, characters and fans the end they so richly deserve. Also knowing there is a Season 12, we can now write the most rewarding Season 11 finale possible — one we hope will leave our fans excited for what’s to come in this final season of Bones.”
Series creator Hart Hanson had the following to add:
“In times like these, marked by instability and doubt, it’s comforting to know the world can count on at least one dependable beacon of stability. Apparently, that beacon is Bones. It just shows what you can do with an amalgam of genius cast, amazing crew, cunning writers, stalwart studio, sweat, a tough economy, a mercurial network, determination, luck, magic, miracles and the most loyal audience in the world.”

“The CW has become home to some of the most critically-acclaimed shows on broadcast television, with a wide array of fantastic scripted series across the week, ranging from musical comedy, to superhero action, to gritty sci-fi dramas. As we continue to further our strategy of more year-round original programming, picking up these 11 series for the 2016-2017 season puts us in a great position of having proven, high-quality shows to launch in the fall as well as midseason and summer of 2017.”

A report from Nerd Reactor says the following:
“A source within the studio has revealed to us that ABC has decided to stick with the show and will be renewing Agent Carter for season three.”
While reviews were strong for the second season of Agent Carter, the season was dogged with low ratings. Its season finale only managed to bring in 2.5 million viewers (only 0.7 million of which were adults aged 18-49). The Blu-ray release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is upon us. Having already been released in the US, fans on our side of the pond will be able to bring the film home a few days from now on April 18th.
One of the notable bonus contents, like with the majority of films, is the deleted scenes. Seven deleted scenes are available on the Blu-ray release, but director J.J. Abrams believes that more deleted scenes are on the way.
Collider talked to Abrams and Simon Pegg (Unkar Plutt) on the red carpet at CinemaCon. Below is the conversation about the deleted scenes:
J.J. ABRAMS: I think there are going to be some more that are going to be available online, but I don’t know when that’s going to happen. But there are some others.
SIMON PEGG: Most of them feature me, funnily enough. There’s a whole story featuring Unkar. Like him opening his shop—
ABRAMS: There is, actually.
COLLIDER: Did Disney say “We’re going to have an ultimate box set and we want to save five minutes for that box set after Episode 9?”
ABRAMS: No, Disney’s been amazing. There’s been no nefarious or weird, “Let’s hold things back for the fans,” but there will be other deleted scenes that will be available for those who wish to see them.
Abrams suggested that some of the deleted scenes may be released online, while some fans have speculated that some could appear on the 3D Blu-ray release later this year.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released on Blu-ray in the UK/Ireland on April 18th.
Thoughts on this report? Are you hopeful that more deleted scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in the future?

Original trilogy characters Lando Calrissian and Dengar will soon be playable on Star Wars: Battlefront, EA announced earlier this week.
Lando and Dengar will be included in the second Battlefront expansion pack, Bespin, coming in June. Players will be able to battle on Cloud City as Lando (Rebel Alliance) or Dengar (Galactic Empire).
Battlefront producer Craig McLeod made the announcement on EA’s official Star Wars website. He also revealed other details on the Bespin expansion pack which can be read below:
“This June, Season Pass holders will also receive our second digital expansion pack, Star Wars™ Battlefront™ Bespin. We’re taking players in and around Cloud City, with four new maps for all of our most popular modes. You’ll see AT-ATs in Cloud City, take to the skies in Fighter Squadron, and even spend time in a carbonite chamber. Of course, we’re also adding more blasters and Star Cards, a new game mode, and two new iconic characters we’re really excited about – Lando Calrissian and the cold-blooded bounty hunter, Dengar.”
Two more heroes will be included in the Death Star expansion pack (coming in the Autumn), in addition to another two in the fourth expansion pack- coming in Spring 2017. McLeod also teased that Star Wars Day (May 4th) will have some special in-game content that they are currently preparing.
