A new featurette for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Doctor Strange movie has been released.

You can watch the featurette below:

Executive producer Stephen Broussard had the following to say in the featurette:

“One of the things that’s important to us in telling a magical story is keeping it grounded but still leaving enough room to have really cool, unique visual ideas to explore.”

In addition, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige had the following to add:

“How do you put that on a screen within this cinematic universe? That is one of the primary goals of that movie.”

Finally, director Scott Derrickson described the film in the following way:

“Where it was all about mind expansion and doors of perception and seeing things from a new perspective. We get to go with Stephen Strange through his experience of the new, and hopefully, it’ll give audiences something that’s new for them as viewers. Traditionally when you think about practitioners of sorcery, they tend to be static in the casting and speaking of spells, and then something odd happens that become the spectacle that you watch. It’s just more immersive and bigger than the characters. What you can expect from this Doctor Strange movie is a mind trip action film.”

The Doctor Strange movie is scheduled for release on November 4th, 2016.

Thoughts on the featurette? Are you looking forward to the release of the Doctor Strange movie?

Neither Sony nor Marvel have offered a comment on the report.

If true (and subject to agreement), this would add Keaton’s name to the list of actors that have appeared in a Batman film and a Marvel film. The Vulture is rumoured to be appearing in the film and this could potentially be the role Keaton is in talks for.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled for release on July 7th, 2017.

Report- The Big Bang Theory Cast Willing to Continue Beyond Season 10

EGP Website Article Image 1495

Having recently hit its 200th episode milestone and nearing the end of its ninth season, the minds of The Big Bang Theory fans are beginning to turn towards its tenth season- which is said to be the final season of the show. However, cast members have said they’re willing to continue beyond the tenth season should CBS decide to continue the show.

Kaley Cuoco (Penny) is quoted as saying the following when asked if next season will be her last:

“No. I think it’s a given that we want to be here. That’s the overall consensus. It might be a sticky road, but if I have anything to do with it, we’d be here for much longer. That’s the goal.”

Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper) had the following to add:

“If the opportunity to go past Season 10 came up, I’d be very hard-pressed to tell you who [among the cast] might say no — if anybody would. I wouldn’t. I’m trying to imagine when an actor in a good situation would go, ‘I’m out of here. I don’t think it would be between Seasons 10 and 11 — not if things are going well.”

The Big Bang Theory has hit its peak with viewer ratings, and with the cast and audience still so invested in the show, it would only make sense for the show to continue for more seasons. We’ll have to wait and see what the showrunners and CBS decide to do.

Thoughts on this report? Would you like to see The Big Bang Theory continue beyond its confirmed ten seasons?

The Big Bang Theory- Judd Hirsch Cast as Leonard’s Father

EGP Website Article Image 1493

Judd Hirsch (Taxi, Independence Day) has been cast as the father of Leonard Hofstadter in CBS’ on-going The Big Bang Theory sitcom.

Hirsch will make his debut as Leonard’s Father in the Season 9 finale, which is scheduled to air on May 12th.

This will be the first time Leonard’s Father appears on the show. Details on the character are still being worked on as the episode’s script is a work-in-progress.

Leonard’s actor Johnny Galecki is quoted as saying the following on meeting Judd Hirsch for the first time at a tribute to director James Burrows:

“We’re all honored to be invited to this James Burrows tribute … and we all had the opportunity to meet these incredible casts Jimmy directed, and I had the opportunity to meet Judd Hirsch. I ran up to him and bombarded him with conversation that went on for a long time about what a fan I am. I did share with him that when we were shooting the pilot, I re-watched the first two or three seasons of Taxi — not because I wanted to base Leonard on his character but the purpose his character served, this anchor in this group of people — and he was just as much at times a voice of reason as he was just as confused as everyone else. I shared that with him, and a lightning bolt struck … or another merlot … and I said, ‘Would you have any interest in playing my dad on the show?'”

Galecki brought the idea to the producers of The Big Bang Theory and a deal was worked out for Hirsch to play his on-camera dad.

Thoughts on this casting? Are you excited to see Judd Hirsch as Leonard’s Father in The Big Bang Theory?

Confirmed- The Vampire Diaries Season 8 is the Final Season

EGP Website Article Image 1490

Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) has confirmed that the eight season of The Vampire Diaries will be the final season.

Appearing at Walker Stalker Con in Nashville, Somerhalder confirmed that the series is coming to an end. He is quoted as saying the following:

“We have decided to do one last season to sort of do it justice. Work very hard on it, my role is shifting in the show, and we have a lot to do basically.”

Most fans had presumed that this would be the case even though The CW is yet to make an official announcement. Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett) had previously announced that the eighth season would be her final season.

While it will be sad to see the show go, it sounds like Somerhalder and the rest of the cast are planning something special for the eighth and final season.
