Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man) has teased that Iron Man could be showing up in Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first solo Spider-Man movie for Tom Holland (The Impossible, In the Heart of the Sea).
Downey Jr. teased that there are plans for him to appear but nothing has been finalised yet. He is quoted as saying the following:
“Perhaps I will. We don’t have a contract yet.”
It’s likely that Marvel Studios and Downey Jr. (and possibly Sony) are trying to figure out the role he will play and how much they will pay him.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled for release on July 7th, 2017.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War) have stated the Avengers: Infinity War will be a multi-perspective two-part film.
The Russo brothers are quoted as saying the following when asked if Infinity War will be bigger than Civil War:
“Oh, yeah! I mean, it has to be. It’s a culmination of everything that’s occurred in the Marvel Universe up to the point where the Marvel Universe is released. Some of those films haven’t even hit yet. We’re going to be dealing with some of the characters from those movies who are going to be in Infinity War. They’re massive in scope and scale but that’s the point. The point is for them to be as ambitious as they possibly can be. They’re going to be multi-perspective films. They’re not called ‘Captain America: Infinity War,’ they’re called Infinity War. You’re going to be moving around through different perspectives of the characters. It’s like Nashville for super heroes. It’s storytelling that is vignetted storytelling. It’s to composite all of them under one story – everybody. You can culminate without all of them, so…”
The brothers also teased that the characters they’re looking forward to using are Thor and Star-Lord, neither of which they’ve had the opportunity to use in their Captain America films.
Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II are scheduled for release on May 4th, 2018 and May 3rd, 2019.
Thoughts on this report? Are you excited for the release of Avengers: Infinity War?
Idris Elba (Luther, Pacific Rim, Thor, Prometheus) has revealed new details on his Star Trek Beyond character Krall.
Details on the character have been scarce so far, but Elba is quoted as saying the following on Krall:
“This is a man with a definite purpose. I say a man, but he’s not a man. Or is he? What’s interesting about him is that he has a real beef with what the Enterprise stands for. Krall’s a character who’s deeply steeped in hatred — in my opinion, a well-earned hatred — for the Federation.”
Elba also added that not everyone in the universe looks at the crew of the Enterprise as “the good guys.” He also revealed that Krall is a member of a brand new species (not a new take on the Gorn as some Star Trek fans had speculated).
Star Trek Beyond is scheduled for release on July 22nd, 2016.
Thoughts on the new details? Are you excited to see what Krall adds to Star Trek Beyond?
Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!, Beautiful Creatures, Supernatural, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) is rumoured to have emerged as the frontrunner to play Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars anthology film centred on the character.
The rumour states that Ehrenreich “is now leading the pack after an impressive performance”.
The Han Solo anthology movie is scheduled for release on May 25th, 2018.
Thoughts on this rumour? Would you like to see Alden Ehrenreich play Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars anthology film?
Alexandre Desplat (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2, The King’s Speech, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Twilight Saga: New Moon) will reportedly begin working on the score for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in a few weeks.
While he hasn’t begun working on the score yet, Desplat did state that he has seen the teaser trailer and called it “very exciting”. He also expressed high praise for director Gareth Edwards (whom he previously worked with on Godzilla).
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled for release on December 16th, 2016.
Thoughts on this report? Are you looking forward to hearing Alexandre Desplat’s score when Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is released?

The Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie has officially been given an R-rating.
This follows reports since last year that the film could be getting an R-rating. Producer James Tucker suggested at a New York Comic Con panel last year that they could give it an R-rating, but cautioned that just because they could doesn’t mean that they should. Warner Bros. Animation & Warner Series President Sam Register has confirmed that they did.
Register is quoted as saying the following:
“From the start of production, we encouraged producer Bruce Timm and our team at Warner Bros. Animation to remain faithful to the original story — regardless of the eventual MPAA rating. The Killing Joke is revered by the fans, particularly for its blunt, often-shocking adult themes and situations. We felt it was our responsibility to present our core audience — the comics-loving community — with an animated film that authentically represented the tale they know all too well.”
Batman: The Killing Joke is the first DC animated movie to receive an R-rating. The film will debut at San Diego Comic-Con in July before being released on home video later in the year.
Thoughts on this news? Does this make you more excited for the release of the Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie?
The Walking Dead companion series Fear The Walking Dead has been renewed for a third season, just one week after the second season premiered on AMC. The second season premiered to a viewership of 8.8 million.
The third season will have a total of sixteen episodes and air in 2017. Chris Hardwick’s The Talking Dead: Fear after-show will also get another season- airing after each episode of Fear The Walking Dead.
Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios is quoted as saying the following in a press release:
“What Dave Erickson and Robert Kirkman have invented in ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ is to be applauded. Watching Los Angeles crumble through the eyes of our characters and seeing each make decisions and try to figure out the rules of their new world – it’s fresh, eerie and compelling and we’re all in for the ride. As Victor Strand observed, ‘The only way to survive a mad world is to embrace the madness.’ We thank the millions of fans for embracing this mad world and look forward to sailing far into the future.”
