Kevin Smith (Clerks, Tusk, Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) will be returning to direct more episodes of The CW’s on-going The Flash series when its third season rolls around.
Smith will be returning to the shows’ set in August to direct an episode in the first half of the third season.
However, there are still three episodes to go in the shows’ second season. The next episode, “The Runaway Dinosaur”, is the first episode that Smith directed for the show. It will air on May 10th.
The show is currently on production hiatus but is scheduled to begin filming its third season in early July.
After filming wrapped up on his Season 2 episode, the cast and producers spoke of how they loved working with Smith and hoped he would return to direct more episodes.

The first look at an upcoming McFarlane Toys collectible based on AMC’s The Walking Dead has been revealed. The collectible, similar to one released a couple of years ago, includes fan-favourite character Daryl Dixon and a motorcycle.
However, the motorcycle included is the new motorcycle he obtains at the Alexandria Safe-Zone. The previous set included Daryl and his old motorcycle.
An official description of the collectible reads as follows:
“Daryl Dixon is a skilled hunter, fighter, tracker, and mechanic whose talents have made him one of the most valuable individuals to the group, and allow him to build and maintain his own motorcycles. Daryl first sported a custom chopper which belonged to his brother, but has since lost it when the prison was overrun. In Season 5, now with access to a garage full of parts in Alexandria, Daryl has modified a brand new bike to suit his scouting and independent lifestyle.”
The pack includes the new bike, Daryl’s signature crossbow and a knife. Daryl’s likeness is taken from 3D scans of actor Norman Reedus. The pack is in the 5-inch scale, will hit stores in September and will be priced at $34.99 in the US.
The seventh season of The Walking Dead will begin airing in October.

The seventh season of AMC’s popular The Walking Dead series has officially begun production.
The announcement was made by zombie make-up guru and executive producer Greg Nicotero via Instagram. The image posted teases that it’s the start of the cast and crew’s seventh year together in Georgia.
Nicotero directed the premiere and finale episodes last season (as well as the mid-season premiere and “Not Tomorrow Yet”). It’s likely the crew will want to keep this trend going and let Nicotero finish the story he started in last season’s finale.
The seventh season of The Walking Dead will begin airing in October.

The Flash movie is scheduled for release on March 23rd, 2018.

Jeremy Irons will be reprising the role of Alfred Pennyworth for The Justice League: Part One. His debut in the role came earlier this year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
While unsurprising as it’s likely that part of the movie will take place in Gotham City (due to the casting of J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon), it’s still great to know that we’ll be seeing more of Jeremy Iron’s Alfred in The Justice League: Part One. His performance in Batman v Superman is considered by many fans to be one of the best performances in the film.
The Justice League: Part One is scheduled for release on November 16th, 2017. The movie is currently filming.

Director Bryan Singer has revealed a first look photo of The Blob in X-Men: Apocalypse.
The image shows The Blob lying flat on his back after being beaten in a cage fight by Angel (Ben Hardy).
The caption reads: “Mutant Martial Arts. Light as a feather.”
A different take on The Blob has previously appeared in an X-Men movie. Kevin Durand (Vikings) wore facial prosthetics and a fat-suit to mask his much-leaner frame as he played the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009).
“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”
X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27th, 2016.
