Director Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) has possibly teased the roster of characters that will make up the young mutants team in his upcoming movie based on The New Mutants.
Boone has posted several pieces of artwork featuring numerous fan-favourite members of the original New Mutants line-up on his Instagram profile. The characters include Magik, Wolfsbane, Mirage, Cannonball and Sunspot. Boone also posted a group shot of the five characters and an image of the shapeshifting Warlock as an airplane.
Four out of these six members were part of the group’s original line-up so this team would make sense. The other two, Warlock and Magik, were a big part of some of the most memorable (and classic) New Mutants stories.
Producer Simon Kinberg has previously hinted that the crew were considering casting Magik as one of the main characters.
Thoughts on this rumour? Would you like to see these characters as the line-up of The New Mutants movie?
