A new image of Batgirl (voiced by Tara Strong) from the upcoming Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie has been posted online.
The shot is from a sequence that Jay Oliva (Flashpoint Paradox) worked on for DC’s next animated movie.
“What does it take for a person to snap? How much despair for a mind to fracture? These are the twisted questions that The Joker has set out to answer, to show Gotham that even an ordinary man like Commissioner Gordon is only one bad day away from sheer insanity. Based on the acclaimed DC Comics graphic novel, witness a journey into the dark psyche of the Clown Prince of Crime. Follow his humble beginnings as a struggling comic to his fateful encounter with the Dark Knight that changed everything. Fueled by the return of Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker, witness the birth of a super villain, the fortitude of a hero and the punch line that will leave you speechless.”
The Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie was given an R-rating. It’s scheduled for a Digital HD release on July 26th, 2016. This will be followed by its Blu-ray/DVD release on August 2nd, 2016. The special Deluxe Edition of the Blu-Ray combo pack will be priced at $29.96 and include a limited edition figurine of The Joker. The regular Blu-ray pack is priced at $24.98 and the DVD will cost $19.98.

An upcoming Lego set based on Captain America: Civil War features a connection to the second season of Daredevil, which was also released earlier this year.
The set, 76067 Tanker Truck Takedown, is based on part of the airport battle in Civil War. It includes mini-figures of Captain America, Hawkeye, The Vision and Spider-Man.
The connection to Daredevil comes in the form of the truck bearing a Roxxon logo on it. While it had been seen or referenced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe numerous times prior to Daredevil’s second season (including in Iron Man, Iron Man 3, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter), the second season of Daredevil saw the Roxxon Oil Corporation play its most significant role yet with Matt Murdock and Elektra investigating foul play in its Japanese branch.
76067 Tanker Truck Takedown is scheduled for release on August 1st, 2016.
Thoughts on the set? Are you planning to buy it upon its release?
