Jeremy Irons will be reprising the role of Alfred Pennyworth for The Justice League: Part One. His debut in the role came earlier this year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
While unsurprising as it’s likely that part of the movie will take place in Gotham City (due to the casting of J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon), it’s still great to know that we’ll be seeing more of Jeremy Iron’s Alfred in The Justice League: Part One. His performance in Batman v Superman is considered by many fans to be one of the best performances in the film.
The Justice League: Part One is scheduled for release on November 16th, 2017. The movie is currently filming.

Director Bryan Singer has revealed a first look photo of The Blob in X-Men: Apocalypse.
The image shows The Blob lying flat on his back after being beaten in a cage fight by Angel (Ben Hardy).
The caption reads: “Mutant Martial Arts. Light as a feather.”
A different take on The Blob has previously appeared in an X-Men movie. Kevin Durand (Vikings) wore facial prosthetics and a fat-suit to mask his much-leaner frame as he played the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009).
“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”
X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27th, 2016.
Thoughts on the first look? Are you looking forward to seeing The Blob show up in X-Men: Apocalypse?
20th Century Fox will reportedly not be holding a panel at this years’ San Diego Comic-Con.
This report comes in spite of upcoming Fox movies like The Wolverine 3, the Assassin’s Creed movie and the next Maze Runner film which could’ve drawn in large crowds. The studio is yet to make an official announcement on this subject.
The report suggests that Fox doesn’t want to host a presentation because of piracy and in case any Comic-Con exclusive trailers or footage get leaked out. At their panel last year they brought the majority of the main cast for X-Men: Apocalypse and showed a trailer to the attendees, which subsequently leaked out the following week.
Fox aren’t the only company to have skipped having a presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. Marvel Studios skipped it last year because Disney’s D23 Expo was taking place the following month. It’s rumoured that Disney will also not be hosting any panels at Comic-Con this year either with Star Wars Celebration Europe taking place a week before.
Thoughts on this report? Will you be disappointed if there isn’t a 20th Century Fox panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year?

The first Spider-Man action figure from Captain America: Civil War has been discovered.
The figure is part of an “exclusive” 8-pack of action figures based on the movie. The pack also includes figures of Ant-Man, Captain America, Falcon, War Machine, Black Widow, Iron Man and Black Panther.
No details on where the pack is exclusive to have been revealed. However, a similar 9-pack of figures is available at Wal-Mart stores and online (but this set doesn’t come with the Spider-Man figure). It’s currently selling for $34.99 on eBay.
“Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.”
Thoughts on the Spider-Man figure? Are you planning on buying the 8-pack of figures to get the first Spider-Man figure from Captain America: Civil War?
