Michael Keaton (Batman, Batman Returns, Spotlight, Birdman) is no longer in talks for a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The search for the actor to play this villain role (rumoured to be The Vulture) is on-going.

Contrary to a previous rumour, Pepper Potts (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) is not appearing in Captain America: Civil War. The film has already been released in some countries and fans have noticed that she doesn’t appear in the film.
Paltrow’s appearances as Pepper Potts include the Iron Man trilogy and The Avengers.
This latest report suggests that (while she is absent in the film’s final cut) there’s an in-story reason for her absence which is tied to Iron Man 3, released back in 2013.
“Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.”
Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6th, 2016.

A new image from the upcoming DC Comics movie Suicide Squad has been released.
The image shows Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) smiling at Deadshot (Will Smith) as the squad walks through a street. It can be viewed at the top of this article.
“It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?”
The Suicide Squad movie is scheduled for release on August 5th, 2016.
Thoughts on the new image? Are you looking forward to the release of the Suicide Squad movie?

Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Casino Royale, The Hunt, The Salvation, the Pusher films) has revealed the identity of his character in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
*If you’re looking to avoid any details concerning Rogue One: A Star Wars Story this is your SPOILER ALERT warning*.
……………..
……….
…….
Mikkelsen was asked by Sky News about his upcoming film roles (notably Rogue One and Marvel’s Doctor Strange). While hesitant at first, Mikkelsen said the following on his feelings when initially approached for the role:
“A little scared. I wasn’t really sure if I was wearing a Stormtrooper outfit or anything like that at that point. I wasn’t sure if I could fit into that. I read the script, it was very beautiful. And Felicity (Jones)’s playing this lovely, young, strong woman and I play her father.”
Very little on Mikkelsen’s character had been revealed until now. It had been rumoured that Mikkelsen would be playing Jyn Erso’s father but this is official confirmation. It was also rumoured that his character is involved with the construction of the Death Star but has a chance of heart. We’ll have to wait and see if that rumour also turns out to be true.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled for release on December 16th, 2016.

Last week we had the pleasure of interviewing Gotham star Cory Michael Smith, who plays Edward Nygma aka The Riddler on the show. As well as talking about how he has enjoyed getting to develop the relationship between Nygma and The Penguin (played by Robin Lord Taylor), Smith also teased the relationship Nygma will have with the inmates at Arkham Asylum (which is where we see Nygma being brought into after being arrested in the episode “Into the Woods”).
Smith had been asked if Nygma had completely given in to his darker side following Kristen Kringle’s death and the unsuccessful attempt to frame Jim Gordon. He replied:
“I do think there is still good left in Edward but I think it will only come out if it helps him. I don’t think he will be spending his time volunteering for a local charity but I do think he will be kind to those that can help him. I know that we’ll see that kind of behaviour in Arkham when it’s kind of a free-for-all and there’s not necessarily anarchy but there is certainly a hierarchy that is established with whomever is at the asylum at the time. The thing I can tease is that Ed doesn’t get along with people very well, despite his many efforts, and people don’t really get or understand him. He goes into Arkham Asylum and he just sort of gets these people and how they work. If you make a crazy person feel not crazy they kind of like you. So all of a sudden he’s going to be kind of making friends.”
You can listen to this extract from the interview below (as well as the full interview further below):
Gotham airs every Monday on Fox.
Thoughts on what Cory said? Are you looking forward to seeing what Edward Nygma gets up to while in Arkham Asylum?
