Last year, it was rumoured that Darth Vader would be appearing in this years’ Star Wars film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The new year has brought a new rumour with additional information on Vader’s possible appearance in the film.
The rumour states that sculptor Brian Muir (the sculptor of Darth Vader’s helmet and armour on the original films) and his team have perfectly replicated Vader’s look from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope for Rogue One.
James Earl Jones (the voice of Vader in the films and most recently the Rebels animated series) is also rumoured to be reprising the role of Vader’s iconic voice. Inside the suit will be a new actor.
No details on whether Jones has already recorded his lines or whether they will be added in post-production are known.
The rumour suggests that Vader will be a “prominent player in a few scenes as something to fear for the heroes.”
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled for release on December 16th, 2016.

2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier was described as one of Marvel’s most serious films (being compared to a “political thriller”). However, Captain America: Civil War is reportedly being described as a “psychological thriller” in contrast.
This is because Civil War will supposedly be more comedic than The Winter Soldier.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo are quoted as saying the following:
“There’s a good portion of [Civil War] that’s actually funnier than Winter Soldier, because there are characters in that film, that come from worlds where the tone is more comedic. Not all the characters in that movie have the same history as the Avengers. They’re coming at the problem of the film, not embedded with that baggage. They’re not tied to the central arc of the movie with the same motivation as the other characters, so they can be lighter. I think there are a lot lighter moments because there are much darker moments as well. We did have to work very hard at that.”
Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6th, 2016.

*WARNING- Major spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens to follow in this article*.
Star Wars has already filmed twice in the Republic of Ireland (for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and more recently for Star Wars Episode VIII) at Skellig Michael, but a new rumour suggests that Disney and Lucasfilm are looking to shoot more scenes for Episode VIII in Ireland.
The rumour suggests that, while the planet will be the same as the one Rey meets Luke Skywalker on at the end of The Force Awakens, the location for filming will instead be Ceann Sibeal in West Kerry (nearby to Skellig Michael). This is indicated to be because of shooting difficulties at Skellig Michael.
Star Wars Episode VIII is scheduled for release on May 26th, 2017.

Marvel Comics have announced that Star Wars: The Force Awakens character Poe Dameron will be getting his own comic series, beginning in April.
A description of this comic mini-series can be read below:
“The new comic debuting in April focuses on the lead-up to the opening scene of The Force Awakens, which saw Poe seeking out mysterious traveler Lor San Tekka (Max von Sydow) on the planet Jakku for a key to finding the missing Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).”
The Poe Dameron comic series will be written by Charles Soule (Lando and Obi-Wan & Anakin comic series) and artwork by Phil Noto (who illustrated the recent young readers novel Before the Awakening).
Soule is quoted as saying the following on the series:
“It’s not as instinctive in some ways as writing a story about, say, Lando Calrissian was for me – I’ve been thinking about Lando Calrissian for 30 years, whereas Poe Dameron I’ve been thinking about for six months. It’s silly not to explore the idea of a guy who grew up steeped in the Rebellion and the older Republic and all of those myths and legends. If you think about it, he grew up the way we did, hearing all of these stories.”
In addition, Noto had the following to add on looking at Oscar Isaac’s filmography to help with the series:
“Seeing so much of him on screen, it’s easier in a way to act that part out in my head while I’m drawing: How would Oscar Isaac act in this situation as Poe Dameron?”

“We are making it in the next few months. It’s a really good script.”
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and series writer Paul Zbyszewski are behind the development of Marvel’s Most Wanted. Both served as the writers of the pilot episode and if the show goes to series the latter will serve as its showrunner.
