Report: X-Men Apocalypse Trailer Description Surfaces

EGP Website Article Image 820

A description for the first X-Men: Apocalypse trailer has reportedly found its way online.

The description is translated from an Italian film website so some words may not make sense.

The description reads as follows:

“The trailer opens with Jean Grey waking from a nightmare. She tells Professor Xavier something along the lines of, “I have seen the end of the world. There was only death.”

There’s a montage of footage of the young mutants at Xavier’s school, followed by a scene of Moira MacTaggert telling Xavier that they’ve discovered a god-like mutant who may be the origin of the species.

Cut to a shot of an intimidating hooded figure being followed by Psylocke and Storm. They search for mutants, and the hooded figure lists the many names he has been known by over the centuries. He says that the world needs to change, and be remade by mutants. The three of them find Magneto. Magneto asks, “Who are you?” The figure pulls down his hood to reveal the face of Apocalypse.

There’s a montage of the destruction caused by Apocalypse.

We see a shot of Xavier looking frightened. Either he or Jean says, “It can control all of us.” We’re shown two opposing groups of mutants (likely Apocalypse’s Horsemen and Xavier’s students and/or allies). Apocalypse sends a burst of energy through Xavier and his wheelchair, and Jean screams

There’s a slow motion scene of Quicksilver running through the hallway leading towards Cerebro.

Mystique tells Xavier, “I came to fight.”

Professor X enters the Cerebro chamber, and his eyes become black. He says, “I’ve never felt like this before,” and is possibly possessed by Apocalypse.

The final shot is of a bald Professor X.”

X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for release on May 27th, 2016.

Confirmed- Ridley Scott Confirms Two More Sequels to Follow Alien Covenant

EGP Website Article Image 818

Recently there has been confusion as to the numbers of sequels there will be to the 2012 film Prometheus, but Ridley Scott (who directed the film and is subsequently directing its sequels) has revealed that two more sequels will follow Alien: Covenant, the first of the sequels.

Scott is quoted as saying the following on why he decided to do the Prometheus series:

“Prometheus 1 was born out of my frustration that on Alien 1 in 1979 – I only did one as I don’t normally do sequels. I was amazed that in the 3 that followed that no-one asked the question ‘why the Alien, who made it and why?’ Very basic questions. So I came up with the notion of Prometheus 1, which starts to indicate who might have made it and where it came from. So I’m now going to the next one, which is the next evolution directly connected with the first one, which was this Shaw, when he replaced Michael Fassbender in two pieces and we’ll kind of pick it up there and it will evolve. When that’s finished there’ll be another one and then another one which will gradually drive into the back entrance of the film in 1979. So in other words, why was this space jockey there and why did he have an Alien inside him? And those questions will be answered.”

Alien: Covenant is scheduled for release on October 6th, 2017.

Thoughts on this news? Are you looking forward to the Prometheus sequels?

Star Wars- Retro Style The Force Awakens Posters Revealed

EGP Website Article Image 814EGP Website Article Image 815EGP Website Article Image 816

Star Wars fans have already been treated to the official poster for this years’ Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, but now three retro-style posters (that look like they jumped out of the 1970’s-80’s) have been released online.

The posters are based on posters released to promote Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (back when it was just referred to as “Star Wars”), with two of the posters only changing the logo and one word. The third poster includes dialogue from The Force Awakens itself.

The retro-style posters are another example of Disney using nostalgia to encourage fans to watch The Force Awakens.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 17th in the UK/Ireland.
