DC’s upcoming Aquaman film has only just begun screen-writing (according to the screenwriter Charles Roven), but a rumour has already been released on the potential villain of the film.
The villain is rumoured to be Ocean Master, Aquaman’s half-brother who believes he is the true heir to the Throne of Atlantis. Ocean Master (or Orm) was most recently the villain of the Justice League: Throne of Atlantis animated film.
The Aquaman movie is scheduled for release on July 27th, 2018.
Superman has only been seen as a shadowy figure in the Supergirl series so far, but that could be about to change. A new report has indicated that the showrunners are looking to cast a teenage Kal-El for the show.
The series is said to be looking for a 13 year old actor that has “future leading man looks”.
Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg is quoted as saying the following:
“There really isn’t anything we’ve asked for that was not given to us, you know? The show’s called Supergirl and it’s about Supergirl. It’s not like we’ve been jonesing to have Superman on it. We also didn’t want to…you know, if you’re going to cast Superman, you’ve got cast Superman right! Just like when you think about all the time and effort and energy that’s gone into finding the cinematic Superman over the last thirty years. For us, Superman is more of an idea than it is a personification of the character, so we’re more than happy to have him backlit….It’s not like we’ve been asking for more Superman or can we do it like this or can we have him in this. For us, we’re perfectly happy with the amount of Superman that we’ve had because it’s the exact amount that we’ve asked for.”
Kal-El is reported to be a recurring role on Supergirl and the show would likely establish the bond between the cousins.
Thoughts on this report? Would you like to see Kal-El appear in Supergirl?

The BBC has officially released the synopsis for the upcoming special episode of Sherlock, which is titled “The Abominable Bride”.
The synopsis can be read below:
“Dr John Watson, meet Mr Sherlock Holmes.
We’ve been here before – but what if this wasn’t the modern day but the late Victorian period? What if the world’s most famous consulting detective and his best friend lived in a Baker Street of steam trains, hansom cabs, top hats and frock-coats?
Welcome to ‘Sherlock’ in 1895!
Some things, though, remain reassuringly the same. Friendship, adventure and especially, MURDER…
Why is Thomas Ricoletti a little surprised to see his wife dressed in her old wedding gown? Because, just a few hours before, she took her own life…
Mrs Ricoletti’s ghost now appears to be prowling the streets with an unslakeable thirst for revenge. From fog-shrouded Limehouse to the bowels of a ruined church, Holmes, Watson and their friends must use all their cunning to combat an enemy seemingly from beyond the grave and the final, shocking truth about… the Abominable Bride!
Sherlock is written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, and inspired by the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock is produced by Sue Vertue and the executive producers are Beryl Vertue, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat for Hartswood Films, Bethan Jones for BBC Cymru Wales, and Rebecca Eaton for Masterpiece.
Sherlock, The Abominable Bride was commissioned by Charlotte Moore, Controller of BBC One, and Ben Stephenson, former Controller of BBC Drama Commissioning.
The episode will broadcast on BBC One on 1 January 2016.”

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is set for release in the UK/Ireland on December 17th.
The Star Wars universe is remembered for many reasons, but one of the major reasons is the planets that have been invented and become iconic over the years. This years’ Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will add to the arsenal of planets and the names of the new planets (excluding the already revealed Jakku) in the film have been revealed.
The following quote from Empire magazine reveals the following:
“Takodana will, if LEGO’s tie-in kits are to be believed, be the site of a major battle in the movie, while rumours have D’Qar as a resistance base. Hosnian Prime? Well, that’s a mystery to all.
Also out there, lurking in the galaxy’s darker recesses, is the Starkiller Base, home of the First Order. The map pinpoints its origin point in the Unknown Regions. Expect it to move somewhere more happening.”
