Report- Suicide Squad Film Intended to be Rated PG-13

EGP Website Article Image 716

DC are looking to be consistent with their film ratings, as the Suicide Squad film is reportedly going to be rated PG-13 (the same rating Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was given recently).

Producer Charles Roven had the following to say on the intended rating:

“The intention of the film is definitely to be PG-13. We really want to make these films tonally consistent so that, as I said because this is a shared universe, at least our current thinking—and again, we’re not dealing in absolutes because while this is business it’s also a creative endeavor, so you want to leave yourself open to changing your mind, doing something different, being inspired, that’s the whole process of filmmaking is you have to allow for inspiration as well as having a road map for what you’re gonna do. So our plan right now is to make all these films PG-13. In some cases, you know, right there on the edge of PG-13, but still PG-13.”

Roven also had the following to say on the cast of the film, in particular Jared Leto:

“Look, you know, it was different, it was fun. The group first wasn’t sure because the AD’s had to call him ‘Mr. J’ to get him to come to the set [laughs]. And he did in many ways isolate himself from the rest of the group, but that’s really what his character was, the purpose of his character in many ways, other than when he was with Harley or trying to get Harley. It was very entertaining, it was fuel for a lot of good sport and a lot of laughs, and his isolation bonded the squad, and we wanted the squad bonded.”

Also, Roven confirmed that the next trailer for Suicide Squad will be released in the first quarter of 2016.

Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th, 2016.

Star Wars- New Details on General Hux and Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens Revealed

EGP Website Article Image 713EGP Website Article Image 714

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will introduce a number of new villains to the Star Wars universe, but while we’ve seen lots of Kylo Ren and a fair amount of Captain Phasma in footage from the film, we’ve barely seen anything of Domhnall Gleeson’s character General Hux.

However, Gleeson has teased some new details on his character:

“You don’t get that high up in your life that quickly unless you’re pretty ruthless. You have to put a few people down on the way to get there. “He’s kind of the opposite of Kylo Ren. They have their own relationship, which is individual and unusual. One of them is strong in different ways than the other. They’re both vying for power.”

Also, the film’s director J.J. Abrams had the following to say on the Starkiller Base and its comparison to the Death Star:

“It is very much — and it’s acknowledged as such in the movie — apparently another Death Star. But what it’s capable of, how it works, and what the threat is, is far greater than what the Death Star could have done. Starkiller Base is another step forward, technologically speaking, in terms of power.”
