Shooting for one of the upcoming Star Wars films is reportedly taking place in Iceland.
While it’s unconfirmed which film is being filmed (either Rogue One: A Star Wars Story or Episode VIII), but it’s likely to be the former as actor Mads Mikkelsen stated before that filming will mostly take place in England and Iceland.
A production crew has supposedly been working near Hjörleifshöfði and Hafursey in South Iceland. It was previously rumoured that scenes for this year’s Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens were shot in Iceland, involving Stormtroopers. So it may not be the first time a Star Wars film is partially shot in Iceland

Great news for fans of The Walking Dead! Showrunners of the TV series are rumoured to be bringing comic series villain Negan in for the Season 6 finale, with a casting call going out with a description similar to the character.
The codename for the character is “Orin”, but as you’re probably aware The Walking Dead casting calls for comic characters usually have codenames to avoid fans knowing which comic characters are debuting on the show.
The description of the character reads:
“30s to mid-40s. A physically imposing, charismatic, brutal, smart, ferocious, frightening, hilarious, inappropriate, oddly friendly, fun loving sociopath that is both a leader of men and a killer of men. He has both a practical and emotional intelligence, he’s a brilliant strategist, he’s pure, dangerous, murderous, often gleeful, but still has both discipline and a code. And he has a temper that can vaporize people. He’s truly one of the strongest personalities ever…”

Even though Furious 7 was one of the most successful films in the Fast & Furious series (earning $1.5 billion), but new reports indicate that Universal are struggling to find a director for the eighth film.
James Wan, who directed the successful seventh instalment, was offered a chance to return to the series but chose to direct a sequel to The Conjuring instead. It’s said that Wan also suffered mentally and physically due to the production becoming a lot longer after star Paul Walker’s unfortunate passing.
However, it’s also said that Vin Diesel (who not only acted but produced this year’s Fast & Furious film) was difficult to work with and played a role in why Wan didn’t want to return. That report states:
“As a producer, he is said to have questioned even small details on elaborate action sequences, often holding up the complex production. He also was known to summon filmmakers to repeated late-night script sessions to make him comfortable with his character and dialogue.”
Justin Lin (director of four previous Fast & Furious films) was also asked to direct but turned a return down to direct Star Trek: Beyond.
The series may be fast and furious, but getting a director for the eighth instalment looks to be a slow and tender process.
Thoughts on this report? Who would you like to see direct Fast & Furious 8?

Batman: Arkham Knight director Sefton Hill has revealed that the Batsuit worn by Christian Bale in The Dark Knight will become available in the game.
A new DLC pack released by Rocksteady Studios features The Dark Knight’s Tumbler Batmobile, so it makes sense that the Batsuit from the film is coming as well. Due to demand Rocksteady are moving to design the suit for the game.
Due to the time taken to design suits for the game, the Batsuit will likely only become available later in the year at the earliest.
