Rumour- Mads Mikkelsen Possibly Reveals Rogue One Character Name

EGP Website Article Image 17

Even after the cancellation of Hannibal, Mads Mikkelsen is a very busy actor. He was recently cast in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in a good guy role and is rumoured to be playing a villain role (which he is more commonly known for) in Marvel’s Doctor Strange film. Talking about the former, it seems Mikkelsen may have ‘accidentally’ divulged the name of his character in Rogue One.

Given that we weren’t expecting any character names to be revealed for a while (especially when the cast was only announced several weeks ago) it’s very interesting that we may have one character name already. Mikkelsen recently appeared at Fan Expo Canada and signed an autograph on a Star Wars poster where he wrote and underlined the name “Galen” on the poster.

Even though this doesn’t come from Lucasfilm or Disney directly, it can be said that this is solid but I’m kind of surprised that Mikkelsen is allowed to reveal his character’s name so soon (unless the name is false).

If the character name is true, the character wouldn’t be the first in Star Wars history to be called Galen- the real name of the main character in The Force Unleashed video games was Galen Marek.
